 All About Me

Picture
I have many things in my life to be thankful for.  If I believed in luck, I would say I'm lucky.  I have a caring and thoughtful husband who has been working hard to make my journey as an adult student at Rowan University as stress-free as possible.  I have two brilliant daughters who make me laugh constantly.  I have a mother who, even through her struggles with breast cancer, helps my family and me each day.  She is an amazingly positive and good-spirited person, and my daughters have learned so much about love and family values by having her in their lives.  On top of all this, I have a large family consisting of brothers, aunts, uncles, and cousins who are unconditionally supportive, funny, and fiercely loyal.

My family has been cheering me on as I work toward completing the Elementary Education/Writing Arts Program at Rowan University.  I graduated from Gloucester County College in 1999, and I have been taking courses sporadically for the past ten years.  My current program at Rowan University has allowed me to attend school in the evening, and I am scheduled to graduate in the fall of 2011.  I am eager to graduate and (hopefully) find a teaching job.

My Writing Arts courses have been enlightening.  Writing requires self-reflection and self-assessment.    I am on a path of self-knowledge, and this knowledge, along with the writing skills I am learning, will help me to be an effective teacher and a positive influence on my future students.
